The Blitzeinschlag Class Destroyer is a modified version of the Daedalus Class Battleship frame that has four of it's heavy turrets removed to make way for two hard mounted heavy particle cannons, one on each side of the ship for broadside assaults. A reactor dedicated only to these two massive weapons was installed as well, so as not to drain the energy reserves for the rest of the ship. Blitzeinschlag is German for Lightning Strike. Seven of these vessels had been built during the Earth-Minbari War and only the EAS Thunderstorm survived, due to the Minbari considering this class a threat and would take them out at the start of a battle.
