Clothing Mimics are a Subspecies of Mimic who have both an anthropomorphic and Inanimate form.
Every mimic is born as a certain type of clothing (Sweaters, Shoes, hats, etc) and will be able to only turn into these garments. In this form they are mostly unable to move, blending in with other clothing until interacted with or worn, at which point they can interact with the wearer by wiggling or bestowing magic upon them. They can also talk.
As anthros they have no face, and varying body shapes depending on their garment, often looking as if they are already wearing their clothing. However, all markings are flush with their fur/skin/scales etc and are attached to the body.

They also have monsterous mouths they can summon in both forms, to eat. They're usually located on the stomach or chest area, behind "fastenings", but in some cases they are else where (Ie the Hat's mouth is hidden under their hat)
Any laces, zips, buttons etc are in fact prehensile and can be moved at will on their bodies.
They also don't have a genitals and are genderless, but can pretend to be male or female, Though any appearance of "Breasts" are faux shapes in their body, in fact only certain types of mimics have them, mostly being lingerie and swimsuits.

It is also considered very rude to split up mimics who make up pairs of socks/boots/swimsuits etc. It will upset the mimic to do this and possibly kill them. Same with tearing or modifying them heavily without consent. Please be mindful of your clothes!

Their style can change over time and they can even change up their garment (Hoodies can become Cardigans or Sweaters, Boots can become shoes, etc etc) if they feel what they are doesnt suit them anymore.
