Themed reference sheet commission for my friend Ra'ar of his sona of the same name. He is a Sumatran tiger and was supposed to have a very natural design.
Tigers are quite a lot of work to draw, but I'm happy with the result. It was nice to draw a themed reference sheet and I learned a lot, especially of course about tiger markings :D
I've already drawn this guy before, though back then the character didn't really have a design yet. The facial stipes got carried over into the ref though :)
