Ben and the 500
Ben_Saint_James wanted a drawing of his character armed with a Smith&Wesson 500. Basically makes the legendary Smith&Wesson Model 29 (Dirty Harry's hand cannon) look like a punk ass .38.Great for stopping freight trains, Bigfoot, small nations, and wouldn't blow a hole in somebody, more like, turn them into chunky salsa if loaded with Hornaday Critical Defense Loads.
But for recoil pigs, a portable Gun of Navarone. Not exactly something I'd want to own, especially at $3.50 a round for basic loads. A guy I know whos an Alaskan Crab fisherman, keeps one in a special Evacuation case in case the boat sinks and they are stranded on some island, mainly to protect against Polar Bears.

A little over a year ago, I could have walked into my favorite gun shop and just written a check for one (or put it on my debit card). I gave serious thought to the club instructor who fired off a magazine of .50 Action Express in a Desert Eagle from the firing point adjacent to mine, ten years before. I live in Connecticut, where the largest thing I'm likely to encounter is a black bear, a pit bull or a pissed-drunk neighbor. If a .41 S&W Magnum or a .44 Mag won't dispatch the above, I'd better move.
I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. So the question you gotta ask yourself is, do I feel lucky...
well,
Do ya' punk!?
