This was a fun little story to draw, but originally it was done in a rush to make the deadline for
Tim_Kangaroo's THE NIMH FILE (not his fault -- I waited until the last moment, as I recall). The comic needed a serious overhaul -- the crows weren't even colored in with black ink, and my hand-lettering was awful.
I'm happy for the chance to finally run it again, looking the way it should have looked the first time. My only regret is that it didn't look like this for Tim's apa.

That's one of the best bits of NIMH fanart I've ever seen, and very true to the original. Cute, simple, and to the point.
And always fun when a bird learns exactly WHY they've been blessed with wings and the ability to use them. Some just take longer then others to catch on, I guess. :)

Brilliant! I can just hear Dom DeLuise in Jeremy's speech bubbles. (Poor Jasper if he tries to follow his dad's "fancy moves," though.) You've got a remarkable narrative sense, the story was great.
My only suggestion would have been to re-think some of the narration, I bet most readers could have gotten the point of the frame without it.
