And here we go, time to show off The Golden Rooster's main villain - the Chancellor of Owls!

The Chancellor of Owls is the counterpart to Bruno, being the "chosen one" of the night and being responsible for bringing in the nighttime. However, he allowed his power to get to his head, and he soon yearned to make the night last forever - thus earning him and his owl followers the freedom to do whatever they wanted...And unfortunately, that includes eating innocent sentient animals!

The Chancellor, along with his chosen successor the Earl of Owls, succeeded in driving Bruno away from the farm and locking away his daytime powers. He then brought forth an everlasting night, as well as an intense storm to wash away the farm and expose the animals to his and his followers' predatory ways. To top it all off, he tricked Jacob into helping him tear down the wall separating the real world and the storybook world, before turning him into a mouse with his magical breath and attempting to eat him. His magical breath allows him to polymorph additional animals and humans, as well as perform a variety of other magical feats.
