The terrier calls timeout from the RBL to draw some other series and independent art pieces.
Okay with that said, its time I for the first time combine Firealpaca and Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 together and experiment with them. And who is the test subject? No surprise, its Skunk-Boy, in the night observing from the vantage point of a building rooftop. also the word "stink-out" title is a skunk based punny play on the word "Stakeout"
The entire picture was sketched out and drawn out, and colored in firealpaca. the line art avoids the use of black lines and went with a vector approach with each shades of colors for separate line art with in the drawing, then saved as a PSD file and opened in Photoshop to play around with the FX layers and filters to define the final art piece.
In a way it does differ from GIMP. i used to play with the FX layers when working on Photoshop in high school. the FX layers has many options to give a simple layer your working with a solid quality style touch up. i did this for Skunk-boy, the lingering fumes behind and below his tail, and the city background. I have to warn you though, shade the layers before applying the FX layers to the drawing, this note apply to myself as well. otherwise doing that when the FX layer applied on, The shading will breed out on both the layer and the FX layer behind it, which will create a big fat black outline and that mess will most likely need to be fixed with the eraser tool. I also played around with filters on certain layers such as Oil paint and Gaussian blur to give more dept in style in my art piece. or however you say that.
Anyways, this was a lot of fun to work on. playing around with some cool features in Adobe Photoshop experimenting with photos and art pieces. and collaborating it with my own art i work on in Fire alpaca. we shall see, I might do more Photoshop and Firealpaca collab experiments later on this year. But, let me know what you guys think
