Wherein the scariness pecking order is established.
For those who are just tuning in, this is a story I wrote when ten years old. As a result, the writing is... bad. Hilariously bad. Let's read!

UNICORNS
Dream field No relation.
It is said that Sun Field has some magical power. I thought it was a bunch of nonsense. Why? They say that a Unicorn will appear only to the purest of hearts. I decided to visit Sun Field. They say the dark forces are afraid of this imaginary unicorn. I remember the time I called a vampire a crybaby. I can still remember the look on his face. I shan’t get into my opinion on Twilight, for the series is quite a sensitive topic for some, but I shall say that no interpretation of the dignity level of Twilight’s vampires, even by its most ardent hatedom, can measure unfavorably to the vampires in this book. The Count from Sesame Street is more intimidating, at this point. Well, we came we saw. Boy did we see. We saw great fields of flowers, butterflies, and the sun brighter than ever. I heard a soft voice say “Well what do we have here?”
That’s a voice that sent chills down my neck. We all four were huddled up in fear. Seriously? Seriously? Really? I mean, seriously? …Why, exactly? How is this voice, unaugmented by magical influence or anything, scarier than any of the stuff you didn’t huddle up in fear at? You yourself had said that the voice was soft, after all. How did you know it was not just some random passerby? We closed our eyes and hoped for this to end. A voice said “I’m not going to harm you.”
Magic Not bringing in the card game again this chapter, thankfully.
We were shaking so hard we probably made a reading on the Richter scale (measuring earthquakes). I would make a Captain Obvious comment here, but among people in my age group at that time, it was actually rather uncommon information. We looked up and found a unicorn. Do you know what we all said? Nothing. I was trying to stay low, You? Stay low? Ever? Byrd was probably amazed, Fox never talks, and Easter was nervous. I knew it was the unicorn before but I thought it was going to do something to us for trespassing. Like what? Cast an easily-deflected spell? It was probably the same for them too. The unicorn said “Sardor lives on the island behind your house. How do you know that? I can transport you there.” Next thing I knew I was on the island. However, I noticed a necklace. It was the one the unicorn was wearing! Well, that’s… convenient? Why did the unicorn not tell you what this necklace does, if it intended to give it to you, exactly?
Bad news
“Well? What are you gonna do? Put it on or just stand there?” said Byrd. I said “maybe he accidentally transported it here.” Byrd said “I doubt that.” I said “By the end of the year I’ll have twenty necklaces. I already have two. Two in one day! At this rate by the end of the year I’ll have over 400! Now gimme my third!” they all laughed. All but Mrs. Mute, who simply smiled. I put it on and nothing happened. A vampire spotted us. He had a gun. He didn’t come any closer though. In fact, he was scared. Fox charged and the vampire shot her. Speaking rather matter-of-factly, considering. We brought her back to the mansion immediately. She was alive still, but barely
