Wherein Hot rod tries thinking with portals.

For those who are just tuning in, this is a story I wrote when ten years old. As a result, the writing is... bad. Hilariously bad. Let's read!

Also, yes, I know, this is a lot of uploads of the same thing in a row. PMD is waiting on Ryusuta and FF7 is waiting on Red. Why the latter is the case is a surprise.

THE SECOND UNIVERSE Considering you came from one and are in another, wouldn’t any further one you find actually be a third?


The forbidden portal

In a couple of weeks the Easter bunny was completely recovered. After that we all went to the indoor pool. At the other end of the room we saw a portal. I said “I’ll go first!” Darwin Award in three, two… Both Fox and Byrd thought boy is he dumb. Hot rod apparently now has mind-reading powers. And for the record, no, the original daydream version of Hot rod did not have such powers. His psychic powers were purely telekinetic. I ran to the portal. Next thing I knew I was flying backwards. SPLASH! “Let me try!” said Byrd. They just were thinking how crazy he was for trying, but now they themselves want to try. I guess they were convinced by Hot rod being flung back? Maybe it looks fun? SPLASH! Fox tried. SPLASH! The Easter bunny said “I have to use a lot of magic to get through this one.” “Magic?” I said. “Yes. Those vampires were after me because they knew that I was always low on magic after delivering eggs.” She said. I said “Why are they after you anyway” I said. She answered with “well, they know that I maybe able to do considerable damage.”


The necklace Plot device!

That was a shock. I said “How?” She said “Well, you’ll see.” I wondered what she meant by that. She said “I’ll beat Sardor!” I said “Are you sure? You are of great importance and many people would be devastated if you died.” And people wouldn’t be devastated if you died? Also, I think people can live without their candy fix. She said “Yes. If I die though will you take my place?” I said “I can’t make eggs suddenly appear like you can.” She said “I have something to show you.” And then something strange happened. A light suddenly surrounded me. A tiny chest came down that beam of light and came right into my arms. “Open it.” Said the Easter bunny. From now on I’ll just call her Easter. I opened it and I found a beautiful necklace. Easter said “I never gave that necklace to anyone. Not even my mother knows that necklace exists. And now it is yours. It will give you my magical powers if I ever die.” How narratively convenient. Also, we are now at the end of part 18. Neither the characters nor the audience would know the portal leads to another dimension, if not for the spoilery sub-title.
