This was an epic commission that turned out absolutely AMAZING. Expectation-shattering!! I gave Kunst the general idea of Butterscotch spooking as a sports-car passes too close, with his expression reflected in the car, and this is the AMAZING result. One of my favorite pieces of art ever.
It also has a LOT of symbolism. No matter how fancy and fast and classy and traditional a pony in harness is, some people will still ignore it in favor of modern tech. And how some of those kinds of people don't respect those who prefer it differently.
The idea for this painting came from a bad relationship I had. And having this amazing digital painting really helped me get past it...and get passed the feelings of inadequacy I had.
