Interestingly enough, my main OC (a centipede) was in large part inspired by the Egyptian God "HORUS", who was believed to watch the mortals through the eyes of the desert centipede.
In ancient Egyptian culture, it also symbolizes good psychic relations and brings good luck to loving pairs. In some of the stuff I read, it also symbolizes... "good Courtship"...
