STORY TIME: Ringo as we know him evolved from a much earlier character named Buck, who was part of a comic strip I drew in high school. It was about him and two other characters (a hedgehog named Rudy and a skunk whose name I don't recall) in the early 1970s trying to hitch-hike to a concert across the country. Unfortunately I can't find any original drawings of those three, they're probably locked away in some box in my attic. But in any case, this is Buck, essentially Ringo with no glasses, a hat, and a more vaguely cartoony look to him.

I love BoC SO fucking much. This is great. I first saw HEavy Metal when I was 8. My aunt had taken me along to a Star Trek convention (this is back in '82 when there were maybe one or two). A guy had a copy playing and when I walked by I got my first ever view of animated boobs. I haven't been the same since XD
My aunt thought it was a cartoon and bought me a copy. Guess she didn't get that it had lewdness and was a bootleg lol. My favorite songs on the soundtrack were the BoC tunes. Man...I'm so glad I got into movies like that when they were underground. Cartoon boobs are still fun but not quite as fun as they used to be when I had to sneak looks at them lol.

you have an attic that might contain things you don't remember what became of? to me that is something amazing. even as a child we moved many times, when my dad's work for the railroad relocated him. it was only during my second and third year of high school, and that was more then forty years ago, that i have ever lived in a place that was mortgaged rather then rented. i did for a brief while live on a boat that i owned outright, but even that was more then thirty years ago.
boc? in 82 i joined the portland science fiction society PorSFiS, and started going to orycons and norwescons, fan, not medea, sf conventions. the name, acronym, whatever it is "boc" doesn't ring any bells. its probably something i've forgotten and will feel like an idiot when you tell me, but at the moment i don't for the life of me recognize it.
