Coyote is one of my strangest characters, and not just because his entire pack go by the name Coyote. They each have their own personal names, which they only tell to people they trust. Coyote, like the rest of his pack is essentially a werewolf, just a very creepy one able to transform at will. He was raised mostly in canine form and thus behaves very oddly until he gets used to living as a human. When he's stressed, injured, starving, or dehydrated, he becomes much more animal and sometimes loses his humanity completely until he recovers. This is him in that state. As a human, Coyote is normally friendly and cheerful. His supernatural nature makes him almost impossible to injure by normal means, so he tends to act very calmly towards situations and animals that most people would find alarming. He's actually comfortable being treated as a dog and at one point in the story he lives as a pet because he appreciates the meals and doesn't have any desire at the time to reveal that he isn't an ordinary canine.
