So I almost didn't post this. I did this a few days ago when I was feeling rather artsy. I wanted to do something else than MitM, so I started sketching. I had recently read someone talking about how they add motion and rhythm to their characters and I wanted to work on my drawing. Dancing characters seemed like the best way to practice that.

Combined with the fact that I had a good time drawing the Blackletter font for the last MitM page, I wanted to work with another more complicated typeface. Art Deco immediately came to mind, and this is what I came up with.

But after goofing up here and there while inking this, loosing some of the letters in the illustration as well as the element of contrast, and failing on the circle I was kinda done with this sketch. The pencil shading came after I had given up (that's why it's so rough). Although this piece does make me want to give Art Deco another shot, and next time I would really like to do the illustration and characters in a more Art Deco manner as well.
