So the Blackletter work I did on the most recent MitM page made me want to show this comic off.
Carpal Funnel was a comic strip series I did for a small tech company in the Boise area while I interned there. I was given a lot of freedom to do whatever I wanted, and while most strips were based around a four panel layout there were a couple that broke that formula. Like this one.
The comics were drawn with a sharpie, photographed, and then live-traced in Adobe Illustrator. I would then add some orange highlights (the company's brand color) and add the text with a computer typeface. Some type was hand-drawn though, like "Carpal Funnel" and for this strip "The Four Horsemen of the Oculus."
Personally I like how this black lettering came more than the one on the MitM page, but I purposefully chose a more simple version for the MitM page.
