Next up in the race design are the Lipane, a rabbit like people with a middle eastern/arabic themed culture. The Lipane are the most magically gifted of all the races, having been the first race to have been blessed with magic abilities by the goddes.

While they look like rabbits the Lipane come in many different colors and patterns, from spotted to striped, to calico like. They can also be born with or without jackalope type horns.

because they focus on magic so much their race isn't very strong physically, except for their strong legs which makes them great long distance and fast runners and also possessing great jumping abilities, traits utilized by their battle mages which are the closest thing the Lipane have to warriors or an army. Thankfully they are a pacifist race (except for their long standing fued with the Vossen, it's true origins long since lost to time) and as such they often serve as advisors and diplomats for the other races, compared to the Vossen who often take mercenary roles for their fighting skills.

At first it would seem the Lipane are spread thin, living in small villages dotted around the land, but the truth is their real cities are underground beneath those villages, lit by magic and use of enormous crystals which channel the light from the surface into the city below, making the underground clear as day and providing a day and night cycle as above ground. These crystals are well hidden inthe landscape, appearing to be ordinary rocks covered in mineral deposits or petrified trees.

Their society is divided into castes and citizens have the opportunity to move up to another caste even if they are born as a commoner, either by becoming a rich merchant or showing great magical talent. Due to the females outnumbering the males their culture is also very matriarchal with the females being in charge of most things, though the males are still more or less equal in that they can hold similar positions of power serving under their sultan who traditionally is a male, an ancient custom that stems from a gesture towards the males from the females to provide more equality.
