I thought about how cool it was that both Newfoundland and Labrador had a dog breed that bore their name, so I decided to portray the history of the province with them personified (dog-ified?) as said breeds. Needless to say I had to simplify a great deal, but I think the basic facts remain intact. Hope it's educational!
