It's been a while since I'd drawn a comic strip with 'Rob Cat' and 'Donovan Lupus'; so I thought I'd present a brand new gag with the optimistic bobcat and the ever-complaining wolf...
This time, the setting is a county fair (most appropriate for Summertime), as the two of them take in some of the rides and attractions throughout the entire venue. One usual attraction at most fairs is the 'kissing booth' - where, for a small price, a male patron gets kissed by a fair damsel. (My apologies for the 'male chauvinistic' description of it.)
While 'Rob' enjoys a double-scoop ice cream cone, 'Donovan' continues to kvetch about his latest misfortune - in this case, his encounter with the girl at said 'kissing booth'... and how he ended up shaped and floating like a toy balloon (startling a bear cub into almost losing his own balloon in the process)!

Well, Captain, considering that other "FA" artists (too numerous to mention) had specialized in 'puff-kissing gags' themselves, I thought I'd join the fray - cutting out 'the middle mammal' by displaying the aftermath of the wolf's inflation at the 'kissing booth'. I'm glad you'd enjoyed my approach at this variation!
