I can't get why you're confused.
This is a chance for the watchers to get feedback from the author they are interested in and maybe even the critique (if it's asked for). In exchange for that watchers spread the information about the author. And then the author chooses few people to spread info about, too. That's all :)

So.. I'm a bit scared to get criticized... But I want criticism so I can improve as an artist. I've been told by one artist that I need to improve on my lighting but I have no idea what else I need to work on.
