Jayke Astor (1923-1948)
Jayke Cornwall Astor was born in New Brunswick Tennessee in August of 1923
little is known about his early life.
He is best known for his career as a jazz musician, singer songwriter, and master of all instruments.
Astor was first discovered by the world in 1941 when he played the Velvet room at the Memphis Sapphire lounge, many audience members have described it as the single greatest show they had ever seen.
To this day nobody has been able to track down the club manager responsible for booking Mr. Astor that night, the story remains shrouded in mystery.
Jayke Astor went on to record only two studio albums, the first album was entitled "When I get Back" and was published by corridor records in July of 1945, the tracks "Give me Tonight" and "Watch it Burn" remained at the top two spots of the record charts for nearly three decades, the album sold more copies than the Jackson Five, twice. the second studio album was entitled "My Last Breath" and was released in February of 1947 not one song off that record made its way onto the charts, critics and audiences alike panned it completely. shortly after it's release Astor was found dead in his New Arcadia Residence.
Jayke Astor died on the 21st of March 1948 from a lack of oxygen to the brain, he suffocated himself in his own automobile.
He had no friends to speak of, barely anyone knew him.
He was truly a man, a myth, and a legend.

~I don't know Charlie it seems a bit bleak for Sunday print, maybe try something a bit more cheerful, focus more on the music of the first album not the second or his death.
additional info: Jayke Astor is a male herm (C-boi) attracted to male identifying individuals. despite how the backstory sounds he isn't depressed, just cynical; his father murdered his mother when he was young and he ran away from home, the poor kid grew up real fast on the streets of Memphis living with the street musicians. he learned fast, and he learned good, he learned all he could and then he made his own destiny. he played the velvet room that fateful night and changed the world of music forever. when he made the first studio album he was doing what his producers told him to do, he made no friends, took no lovers, trusted no one, but did what he knew they wanted. they all loved the first album, he bled fake blood for them and they sipped it like wine. the second album was a mistake; he failed himself, he fell in love with a boy and fooled himself into thinking he could trust the world, the second album was his truth, they hated it. he killed himself not out of self hatred or fear, but because the world did not deserve to have Jayke Astor in it.
character is an aumutt, an open species created by
it's a very cute little hybrid; somewhat sophomoric and over-bubbly but still brilliantly cute, honestly we're furries we're all a little too bubbly ;3
