Ref for my new sona, Razor! Her overall design was inspired off both the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World and the Dodorex from Ark: Survival Evolved.

Information on her as a character/creature:

NAME: Razor
SPECIES: none, she is the only one of her kind, somekind of dino hybrid
AGE: young adult
SEX: female
HEIGHT: 3ft from ground to top of head
WEIGHT: 120 lbs
MATE: none
PETS: giant centipede
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
The sclera of her eyes are a dark red and the iris is green with a yellow rim around the edge. The pupils are black slits. The upper half of her body primarily just the back of her head and neck and her back is covered in feathers with a pattern similar to that of a classic tabby cat. Her feathers are black and a rusty-amber color. The rest of her body is just white scales the larger ones on her arms, legs, and tail being light gray in color. Her overall build is similar to that of a t-rex but with larger and stronger forearms. So unlike most other small predatory dinosaurs, she isn't build for extreme agility or speed but she's got a much stronger tail and pair of hind legs. She will primarily walk on her hind legs but can walk on all fours. She has three long and thin black feather-like spikes on the back of her head.
FUNCTIONS & BEHAVIOR:
Her feathers act as camouflage for her in dense leafy or rocky environments. Since she isn't build for speed she uses camouflage to help her hide from prey and when the chance to ambush something opens up she uses her brute strength to take it down quickly on the spot. Once she successfully takes something down she immediately seeks out a safe place to feast, usually dragging it into a tree or anyplace that isn't easy for other predators to detect or reach her or the prey. Her stronger arms and legs help her to reach these more difficult areas, as well as her large claws which help her grip and climb things other creatures struggle to climb. Her strong hind legs and thick tail also help her a lot in swimming which she will do to cut off her scent trail if she knows it's too risky to stay in the area but she can't swim across really strong rivers. She has very strong jaws with sharp hooked teeth which she uses to help her latch well onto strong prey or to help keep her grip on prey when climbing or swimming.
In the event she is caught by predators or if her choice of prey is a bit too tough for her to tackle she will seek safety over fighting whether it means to let the prey go or run and climb a tree or jump in the nearest lake or thick stream, whatever she can do to deter or be rid of the potential danger. If she has no choice though her large claws and strong jaws are her main weapons along with her tail if she can get a good swing in.
Her social behavior isn't very complicated, overall she is a loner type of creature since she's the only one of her kind and is a hybrid and therefore her scent and reproductive function isn't compatable with other species so she's unable to properly communicate or be accepted by other species. She naturally doesn't fit into any packs and most that are similar to her(small predators) are pretty hostile and territorial if she does try to approach or communicate with them, so she keeps to herself and just does what she can to survive and avoid danger.
She has a large centipede sorta 'pet' or companion that hides and lives in her feathers. Since he is pretty fleixble he has no trouble remaining hidden anywhere in her feathers to avoid being picked off by other creatures and his many legs allows him to cling to her with ease. The centipede fell on her by accident one day and quickly learned if he stuck around this way he had unique access to large more satisfying prey he'd never be able to capture. Razor became aware of him after a few times she noticed the centipded crawled off her to munch on whatever she caught but she let him be as he was an odd sort of company. Aside from her obvious inability to be swift and agile to avoid danger keeping the centipede away from harm is another reason she is so cautious.
The odd cartilaginous spikes on the back of her head help her to read and analyze her environment and what's going on. She can pick up a variety of information from the air about other creatures and the climate around her and use it to help her plan out what to do next. It helps her in avoiding being stuck with no shelter from bad storms and in avoiding really large predators or dangerous areas since she can sense them when they're at a safe distance away. Being able to sorta 'read' the area around her is what helps her travel around efficiently, she moves from place to place and knows when she's found a good place to stick around for awhile since she can sense it's well populated and healthy.
Her hearing and sense of smell are pretty good and are mainly used to avoid danger and to detect and hunt down prey.
HABITAT:
She prefers to live in dense heavily populated rainforst or jungle type environments but she moves around a lot to avoid getting bored of the same area for too long. Sometimes she'll live in super rocky areas or mountain areas but overall she will stick with habitats where potential prey is more plentiful and where her hunting strategies work better, especially if there is an easy fishing source nearby such as smaller ponds or lakes or light streams. She does her best to avoid open fields or grassy areas since she can't hide well and there's nothing to climb away from potential danger. She also has a harder time hunting in tall grass or open feilds since the prey that can be found there is usually flighted or designed for speed and hides underground. She only goes into such environments if it's necessary to cross to get to a new area.
DIET:
Whatever she can get, she's primarily a carnivore but sometimes she'll eat insects and some fruits or veggies if she hasn't had much luck in hunting. Overall she favors fish above anything else.
