That second-last panel was when Hex was climbing out of the water, almost finished in his metamorphosis into a frog. Before Kree developed into a proper second head, he didn't have any lungs, so he conveniently had no need to breathe :P

Aaah, like a Girafarig's second head, just sort of smiles at things and bites towards interesting smells?

Yeah pretty similar to that actually! It's a tail with Kree infused into it, but low on cognitive power, so even if he had a mouth he wouldn't be much of a conversationalist until he developed some more :P

8D !!! This is a nice surprise! Every panel is so ridiculously cute! Oh man. All these expressions, and the lilypad carpet, and the TADPOLES... Strawberry poison frog tadpole chats are almost exclusively about the anticipation of getting limbs. Nature facts.

There's also something crazy about the idea of a merge which has retroactive effects / would spin appropriate memories in the brain, which would go away after unmerging (maybe). I've gotta note that for the future!

Hehe, like I said earlier, glad you enjoy it! I can just imagine what those chats were like… ("I'm going to kick ALL THE THINGS with my legs!")

I'm also interested too by all the questions raised by this idea I've managed to stumble upon! Is it just new memories, or did it actually happen that way now? Is it a merge side-effect, or is someone messing with him/them? Is Kree immune due to the tadpole asymmetry, or will he also be getting retroactive memories? Are they technically brothers now? Will they even be able to unmerge if they've "always been like this"? Would they want to? Did Kree accidentally stumble into an alternate dimension? And since Dee has history with Kree (and copied his appearance), will Dee be Frog-merge-ified as well…? :D

I purposefully left it vague in the last panel, all Kree knows is that he's feeling very confused :P
