A lesser spoken god of ancient times. Two beings fused together named Ferticius the dragon and his loyal younger brother Serpon the sea serpent were known as one being. The God of Broken Wind. Looked down upon by many other gods for their rule breaking actions like associating directly with mortals and other irresponsible behavior.
Ferticius was a powerful being in a very unique way. Often gassing his followers for fun. Ferticius was a bit of a and had a very playful nature and loved mortals. He always found them interesting and wanted to learn from them. He enjoyed being around them and they loved being around him. Despite his playful nature his gassy strength was devastating to his enemies. He protected his worshipers with powerful foul-smelling gas barriers that surrounded entire villages preventing predators and other monsters from attacking. Theives and criminals would meet their end in the hungry gods foul stomach. Some stories tell of time when it was believed that an entire army had planned to slaughter his followers. Ferticius caught word of this and devestated the nearby camp. A witness claimed that Ferticius attacked at night let loose such a powerful blast of gas that the camp and most of its occupents and disappeared believed to have been literally melted by the foul smelling fog. Any servivors were promptly hunted down and eaten. Ferticius learned after that a rival gods had planned the attack. Ferticius enraged struck back himself and devoured his rivals and in turn grew more powerful.
Serpon was a weaker lesser god whos worshipers were killed by war. Serpon without followers had grown weak and other gods attacked him visciously. Injured and too tired to run Serpo was on the verge of death when Ferticius appeared. Serpon thinking he was about to be eaten and with will to live offered himself to the dragon. Ferticius instead use his powerful gas magic to fuse the two together. Serpon confused suddenly regained strength thanks to the dragons power. Serpon still confused asked why he saved him. Ferticius looked at him and only smiled. Since then Ferticius and Serpon had become brothers. Serpon became Ferticius's voice of reason since Ferticius often acted without thinking. Though this didn't help much since Serpon could barley hold back his brother from acting on instinct and became involved with mortals as well. Truthfully he enjoyed the attention as well. He kept important records, gave Ferticius helpful advice, resolved disputes through diplomacy, used his powers to give endless clean and bountiful waters, as well as worked together with Ferticious in combat. He was also the butt of Ferticius's humor and was often tromented by his gas.
Many thankful villagers became sacrifices on a regualr basis. Not out of fear but out of love, and whenever Ferticius and Serpon happened to need a snack. They were always thankfull to their protecter and wanted to feed him in return. Most likely out of belief of being part of something greater. Ferticius was known to were a necklace with the Japanese symbols meaning "gate" and "judgement." They were always thankful for their peoples generousity. Not much was known since then. Over time one day it was dicovered that the main village they had protected was found intact but abandoned. It was believed they had all been eaten by their god. Most likely by willingness, but there was no evidence to prove this.
If you guys want to see more of this character version let me know. It was just for fun thing I thought of. Just want to point out though if yes that this rendition of Ferter and Serpo works much differently from the original. Specifically the following: 1.They always perma-vore since this is a time where sacrifices to gods were commonplace and reformation magic doesn't exist. 2. Ferticius isn't as dumb and greedy and is more social and protective with people rather than just eating them all the time. 3. Serpon plays a bit of a personal secretary role and is often more focused on solving problems and other major issues.
