A new what-if scenario I think of:
Years after Sonic's stillbirth (and absence) and Eggman's takeover, Mobians that are unlucky are wiped out one by one. But the others that remained decided to recreate the magic of Chaos. This causes descendants of Dr. Eggman to leave Earth, while the other humans who witnessed it were staying.
After that, a Mobian hedgehog mother died shortly after giving birth to a blue hoglet with two heads. Her depressed husband, a navy-black hedgehog brought it to Christmas Island and left it in a box next to a coconut tree.
Orphaned, the twin hoglets formed a close bond between each other and tend to embrace together as they grew. They later reached 14 years of age on the island while continuing to take care of each other *seen in a picture above* before approaching a boat that leads them to obtain names: Sora and Nicky.
