Unit designation: XZ-21-2.
Unit Design: Modeled after ancient lore from Sol-III, appearance mirroring that of a beast called a 'dragon'. Quadrupedal in body build with a tail making up for roughly one-third of Unit XZ-21-2's body length. Overall length – if Unit XZ-21-2 is of normal proportions and size – is measured around seventy-five feet from snout to tail tip.
Unit XZ-21-2 is outfitted with various components to not only allow for travel between Zolarian Empire-owned planets, but to also sustain itself on a day-to-day basis with little maintenance. Of those components include a portable version of a fusion generator, sealed away to where only specialized personnel can reach it to perform maintenance. This generator is the main source of Unit XZ-21-2's power, which is more than enough for most scenarios that it encounters.
If those aren't enough, there is a small array of solar panel 'wings' that line along the units back. When deployed, each piece flies out to form the aforementioned wings, held in the spots they're designated by a small magnetic field, which won't be too potent enough to interfere with electronics within close proximity. These panels provide an auxiliary power source to Unit XZ-21-2 should there be an extra demand for such or during long travel periods.
Built into the chassis is a Matter Condenser/Expander, which serves mostly for compartmentalization of any cargo that needs to be transported. It can also be used to expand the units size for other pieces of cargo that can't be affected by the MC/E, the largest safe/programmed size limit being up towards ten times larger, if Unit XZ-21-2 uses the device on itself. Use of the device on organics though is prohibited due to uncertainties that could follow those who go through the process of condensing then expanding. To aid in handling cargo are a pair of arms that are normally folded almost seamlessly along the units shoulders. Both are capable of assisting with the handling of cargo, which is placed into the 'mouth' of the unit to be processed further down and into the cargo bay of the machine. Said area can fabricate containers to hold items in if need be, for those who don't wish to trust industry handling of precious cargo.
Internally, the main cargo bay when items to be transported are processed to rests around the mid-section of Unit XZ-21-2 or 'stomach' to those of lesser technological inclination. Most cargo that has been condensed is sealed in separate cells to prevent them from being tossed around during take off from worlds, as well as to shield them from the dangers of orbital reentry. Should there be any contaminants present such as wildlife that somehow found their way inside, each cell will be sealed while the main area will be flooded with Solution 849-281, which is highly acidic and corrosive to organic beings and purges the area of any current contaminants. The remains of those broken down are then converted into materials that could help with internal maintenance, recovery of any injured personnel, or to repair components of Unit XZ-21-2. Organic beings that are being transported with permission though will be guided to a cargo cell before the process begins to avoid unnecessary loss of life.
Due to Unit XZ-21-2 being the second model of the XZ-21 series, it and its 'sibling' that was made before it have personalities that are unique to each other, with 2 being [DATA REDACTED].
Unit Purposes: Unit XZ-21-2 serves as mainly cargo transportation between Zolarian Empire worlds as per programming of it and its production line. If need be, unit can be provided materials and embark on a reconnaissance expedition to chart out new worlds for the ZE. Unit will be recalled after one hundred(100) days in accordance to galactic time charts. However long that time period is per world though that the unit visits can vary vastly.
Unit Status: Unresponsive after the one hundred(100) galactic day period expiration on Recon Mission 281-40. Late by roughly twelve(12) galactic days. Recall transmissions not being responded to. Unit XZ-21-2 assumed either rogue or destroyed.

Day…twenty-five after the new discovery.
Finally managed to fix that machine...whatever it is. Or at least, I think I fixed it.
Found it at a scrap yard almost a month back after one part of the natural landscape collapsed to reveal a bit of an alcove, with that beauty resting inside. Had to convince the owner of the place to take it off of his hands since he didn't look like one to tinker with stuff. Hell, prior to that, I was barely able to convince him to not send that thing off to the crusher. Still, he didn't really care on what kind of machine it was so long as it was out of his sight, so I brought it out to my home out in the rural areas.
Suffice to say, it's quite the heavy haul. Probably weighs several tons alone and I had trouble trying to find some kind of trailer large enough to haul it. Had to get some other pieces along with that machine to cover it up a bit so it would have looked like I was just hauling around metal junk around. Getting that thing hoisted up was a chore in and of itself since it was something unlike that of any truck or car I ever worked on. Hell, if I didn't know any better, I'd say it's like a form of metallic dragon, given the shape of it.
Still, where it came from is something that has constantly eluded me ever since I got it from the scrap yard, since the metal of it is far more tougher than any that our world has, and even had extremely complex parts to it that I had to pretty much crash course myself into figuring out which part did what. Suffice to say that I'm still trying to learn, even after all the tinkering. But getting rather side-tracked here.
The machine is active and...sentient, for a lack of better words.
Shortly after I managed to get the thing active, it tried to 'speak' to me, in a way. However, I couldn't understand a word it was saying, some kind of language it naturally spoke or something. Whatever the case, it's currently impossible for me to know what it was trying to say. Thankfully, it didn't looked all that mad at me nor of my attempts of fixing it. Least I think it wasn't, since its robotic face couldn't really change to show expressions. Closest I could get for that were the coloration of its…eyes, I think…changing to represent what mood it was in. Though it did try to say that it didn't like being hoisted up like a car engine, so I let it down after several attempts of seeing if I could trust it.
Didn't really regret it, though my work did show when it started to move around. Must have been through all kinds of hell to get as damaged as it was, since even my best work for the…well, alien machine weren't helping all that much, seeing sparks fly out when it tried moving. I even had to get the hell out of the way of some kind of green fluid that was starting to spray out from around its stomach area after a moment, which cost me some of my tools and even a couple pair of gloves. Stuff was acidic as all hell, and I can still hear the hissing and bubbling it was doing when it was melting those items of mine down.
The mess didn't go on for long though as the machine just…sucked it right back up through its mouth. I thought it was gonna end up melting itself from the stuff, but I didn't see any other leaks happen after a bit so I figured it was only around its stomach that the acid would leak out from. Still, it looked like the machine was actually trying to apologize for the incident, but I wasn't entirely sure about such.
Suffice to say that despite the hiccups when trying to work on it, I guess I did do a rather good job in fixing the machine, and I earned its gratitude thanks to such. I do hope that I can continue work on it and even figure out more of what kind of machine it is and where it came from. And also keep it out of the public eye since something like this is gonna get those governmental GiBs or MiBs – whatever they're called – onto me.
Edit 1 as of 6/18/2016: Oh, now that I just remembered, I guess I had to give it some kind of name instead of what it shown me scratched into a patch of dirt next to my home; XZ-21-2. I wasn't the best with names, but I figured that 'Xinny' would do, with the X pronounced as a Z.

Random character bio is random. ._.
So yeah, this is the result after a little conversation with
Emberflame Foxheart after they revealed their mecha-dragon character that they were working on and talked about some parts related to it. Suffice to say, the thought of such VERY easily appealed to me, enough to where I was hit by quite the spell of motivation. Which is something that I NEED for whatever else I have in mind yet can never amass any as quickly as this came. Seriously, what the hell?
Anyway...that spell of motivation prompted me to make my own, and obviously dump quite a deal of stuff into it in a short span of time, tidbits of lore as well. -3-
