A week late, but stuff needed to be done, so only now can I take advantage of the Game of Thrones hype train. Anyways: fuck the Sand Snakes in the show.

I don't know why exactly, especially considering that they are very small-time characters there as well, but the Sand Snakes in the books are definitely some of my favorite characters. Maybe it's because if you were to describe their characters to someone, they'd think you were talking about anime characters. And not only are they dull and completely forgettable in the show, they were completely tossed out the fucking train with the first episode of season 6.

Yes, I know, we don't have any more books, and they're minor characters, but nothing in the narrative had lead us to believe that they'd harm ANYONE in their family just for some blood-fueled petty-ass revenge. Which is also probably due to Doran in the books imposing himself and DEMANDING respect (also, RIP Beardless Areo Hotah).

Oh well. Still not really sure that this is how I'd design Obara Sand from the books, but it's pretty close.
