Germania in her Winter Costume, in color by Scott Alston
This is the one hundred and fifty-fourth item, the one hundred and thirtieth art piece, the seventy-first original piece and the fourth piece for 2016, since the formation of the museum.
And, finally, here's the color version of the previous piece that was commissioned by
TRAIN, showing Germania in the winter version of her costume.
As can be seen, the longjohns that are covering the lower half of her body is in a darker shade of grey, while the grey of her upper body is a bit darker than is normally shown, to show that her fur has gotten darker (as well as thicker, as with most horses) during the winter months, to help keep in her body heat, when she isn't wrapping her cape around her body.
Anyway, hope you folks'll like it. I know
TRAIN does.
