I said that I was gonna be done with RWBY fanart, that I was spent... BUT I DIDN'T LISTEN!!!!!!
Penny Polendina was definitely one of my favorite characters on the show. And if S4 comes... come on! Weiss goes back to Atlas? Doctor Polendina better have a new PN-E waiting... or an entire battalion! And I really wanted to draw a possible new Penny, but making her less "I wanna be a real kid", and more "You killed Doc's robot daughter, so I'm just a killing machine now. Thanks".
And yes, I'll admit it: I kind of combined Penny's original design with Vivian James', to make this.

Well, that depends on how much you watched and where you stopped. The first season really is the most annoying, even if it's the fastest to consume, not just because it's almost all set-up, but the animation still being rather "primitive". The story is also very basic, and leads one to believe that the whole thing's gonna basically be Hollow Hunting: Folklore Edition... and then it isn't that at all.
If you can't finish the first season, then it really isn't for you. And I mean in the sense that if you aren't hooked by the last few episodes to watch the second season, then you're likely not going to enjoy it.
There really is a major shift in tone and quality with the third season. I dunno if the show's staff was just doing their best to continue Monty's work after his death, but it really is astonishing. However, it's also not a good idea to skip the first and second seasons, as you won't have the necessary context and time with the characters to be properly impacted by it.

I watched the first two seasons, but I always felt like the delivery of characters was extremely lacking... I mean someone had to explain the last two episodes of season 2 to me and even then I don't think I get what is going on and why the last episode of season 2 is just "student showcase number 20".
