Hahaha, i think that'd be a pretty tough sell to Disney. Though I wouldn't be surprised if we got a sequel in a couple of years. normally i dont go for sequels, but theres so much to this world that wasn't explored in the movie, i'd love to see more

I completely agree! Not sure on the 'tough to sell' part though, Retro 80s stuff is pretty big right now, atleast here there are people using cassettes and vinyls instead of CDs, and all admiring the Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, and John Carpenter electro themes, and you can see people driving expensive ferraris and other sports car while opening the window and blasting Synthwave, driving over red light... Then get catched by the cop. Its pretty hectic. xD


I might have exaggerated a bit, but its true about the Retro 80s movement being pretty large here. Its the new way-of (or should I say New Wave? xD) hipsters, if you will.

Lol wow, I wanna live where you are. The animation industry is a fickle mistress though. And recently the world was disheartened by the cancellation of the show Wander Over Yonder. what really sucked the most was their reason for cancelling it though. Not sure if you're familiar with the show, but it was that kind of wacky 80's type of slapstick cartoon show. anyways, they said

"Unfortunately, the higher up bosses of bosses of bosses at Disney decided not to continue with the show. It’s not that they didn’t like Wander, they just felt that 2 seasons and 80 cartoons was enough and they didn’t see the need to produce any more.:

anyways, all that being said and not wanting to be a ridiculous downer, I think shows like that should totally make a comeback. to some degree anyway. an 80's style show with today's quality of writing would be the perfect storm

And yeah i think it *would* make a good comeback, so will 2D animation, its just starting with music and to some degree film and games (Blood Dragon, Kung Fury, Turbo Kid, etc) But i think it will spread sometime in the future as more and more kids get hooked on the invisible 80s they never got to experience (I call that "Invisible Nostalgia" Its like a type of idealistic nostalgia for a timer you weren't born in and never got to experience, its totally real!)

Sorry for the terrible sound quality (Trust me I' a headphone user so I felt the pain *_*) but have a hard time finding a good link for this obscure show. And yeah there is Slavic dubbing during the episode, so probably not the best link lol :) But it was to show you this wacky awesome slapstick cartoon show, It together with a lot of other older good stuff was the thing for me back in my childhood!

Sadly such a show would never get made today because of "PC ppl" Ironically i know lots of other Middle Eastern children in the class would really loved the show as well and couldn't get the theme out of their head, But to me its always the Adults that whine the most and stuff, kids never seem to take thinks too seriously. The irony :/

But yeah you should definitely see if you could find the full collection of the show, I used to have a great link bookmarked but after wiping my harddrive I have no ides where the link if or if it even exists anymore. There are tons of terrible slavic-dubbed videos with terrible monotone sound quality though :/

I wish something as goofy, over-the-top, silly as that would come back. Its by the same creators of the Asterix and Obelix guys, but this show was REALLY CLOSE to the source material and it really shows for how good it is. I also think Iznogud is superior in everyway to asterix and obelix, because i found that comic bland in comparison. Anyway, enough rant :P
