So it seems Isaac, who's already large and rather immobile due to his sheer size, wants to become bigger, being the little folf he is...he might not take much more growth.

Hm... does it, really? I think it depends more on the tensile properties of the material you're made of.
I mean, if it were a liquid, it would be most likely less squishy than a gas, because liquids intrinsically have higher density and thus less compressability. But I think that the material that is being considered matters more. PVC, for example, does not stretch easily and as such is not nearly as squishy as, for example, latex, even when filled with the same material. As well, it would likely be a function of the local curvature of the inflated surface.
