The Ehk

The Ehksis are beings created from scratch, intended to be teachers and instructors to the newborn Ehl. Having more or less achieved this goal, the remaining seven Ehk races now lead their own lives within or without the Ehl.

Coutl are an ancient race from a time before Dwevilel's arrival, always following in it's wake and acting as assistants in it's plans. They are wise and inquisitive (some say meddling) and continue to involve themselves in the affairs of the other races. Often they hold revered status with the Ehl; it's not unknown for smaller communities to be gathered around a Coutl individual, often a female and several male suitors. Coutl is cities are becoming more and more common.

Than are a race that loosely resemble lizards with smooth scaleless skin. They are extremely diverse race in terms of appearance, sporting horns and hair and manes or lacking such. Few Than look exactly the same. They are the second race to live mostly within Ehl societies, though some traditional communities can be found living simple down-to-earth lives in rural areas.

Ihth are mystics and historians, contemplative and often aloof. They involve themselves with the practicing or restriction of magical practices across the world. Most traditional Ihth communities have isolated themselves from the other races, leaving the remaining to form the backbone of sorcery. Most other races find them hauntingly beautiful, even if they all look nearly identical to each other.

Sudi weren't with the original batch of Ehk nor were created by Dwevilel, but are the descendents of outworldly beings that were appointed Ehk status for an unknown reason. They are carefree and perpetually joyful species that dwell in the swamps and coasts, once a rare sight but now one increasingly common if head-turning on the mainland. They lack eyes but can see as well as anything. What their role in the world is isn't clear, but one can definitely say that it's hard to not like them.
