A while back I had a conversation with my mate about the evolution of my fursona. How it started, how it changed to who she eventually is with all the steps in between and she came up with the idea for a project to have these drawn out, showing each step of the way. Where to start though? At the beginning, of course. I never really had a fursona when I got into the fandom or drawing for that matter. I wasn’t certain what species to use or who I really was. (Both in the fandom and in real life. Foreshadowing X3) Eventually I narrowed it down to a few species and it eventually came down to between a rabbit and a coyote. I’ve always loved rabbits and wild canines so it was kind of a tough call to make. I’m not sure what the deciding factor was but as you can see I did go with the coyote. (maybe Wile E. had a bit of influence. I do like to cheer on the under dog.. Er… under yote) As a fursona he does share some traits with me. The glasses. The black hair. The brown suit I have no clue where the hell that came from. X3 Basically your most basic of basic fursonas. But you have to start somewhere and things did change later on. Though to be honest there isn’t a lot of art of this form, I’m quite shy and wasn’t exactly fond of my body in real life. (again… foreshadowing) There are a couple of series with a deer and beaver but that’s about it for this version. But that certainly changed as I started getting out of my shell (and as we’ll soon see out of the closet as well X3)

Other then that wow... this is a real blast from the past. It is always interesting to remember where everything started. Helps keep you rooted and learning from the past so you know where you are going roughly as the road of life continues marching along.

AH, thank you, that looks a lot better. I might have to fiddle with the colours a bit but for now at least it looks better than before. :3
Yeah, I'm kind of surprised myself how this all got started. It's neat to think how things changed and how every little bit changes you bit by bit into something completely different. Though looking at this it's a lot easier to look back than it is to look forward. I know my past self would be a little shocked at what our fursona has become.
