Actually, my friends and I enjoy the new ruleset, but then I've been playing the fantasy and 40k games for more than 20 years. And I really thought they made the 8th ed fantasy way too complex. As for no points, we just use wounds as a measurement of how big a force to make. It works out pretty well for us.
