Heh well as for the map it depends on what you want, the PS2 version's map is more detailed but you can't move with it turned on, whilst on the Dreamcast its very basic and hard to tell what is where but you can have it on whilst you swim. As for the darker areas, I don't know about that, they're both very dark in places.
