"Can someone tell us what's going on?!" An officer near us shouted. "those things aint asteroids!"
"THE NOISE! MY HEARS!"
"Everyone calm down and get back in your houses! It's a meteor shower hitting the ocean!"
Suddently, a huge boom sent us to the ground. Followed by a very strong hot wind.
"that did not hit the ocean didn't it? Let us in!"
"where are you going! come back here!"
The officer ran inside the station, closing the door behind him.
"fuck! we are so fucking screwed!"
"the whole sky is falling on us!"
"wait a moment, look closely... Those aint meteors!"
The man pointed at a very large meteor falling straight above us.
"that's a heatshield. Those are... wreckage..? Shit, that's the defense fleet falling down!"
What looked like an explosion in the sky blinded us.
"everyone to the ground! Shockwave!"
A very strong wind sent us all back to the ground. Followed by a loud boom. We stayd on the ground for a few seconds, before we stood up again.
"what the heck was that?"
"was just larger than the others... Must have left quite a crater..."
"hey, why is that going up?"
"where?"
"there, look behind those buildings"
The man pointed at a strange yellow-orange mass, sparkling behind some buildings. It looked like it was, lifting up?
"holy ancestors..."
"that aint no meteor... that aint no fucking meteor..."
It was a creature. A very... big... and glowing yellow creature. I could not believe what I was seeing...
People around me started screaming, and running, as the creature lifted itself up to his full height. It was dwarfing the skyscrapers...
Only thing I could think after was... run... but my legs weren't moving. That beast destroyed our ships in space, and now it's down here, to destroy us. It stepped forward, into the ocean. Windows shattered, stuff was lifted from the ground. And then another step. I I fell to the ground. We could not even walk, ground was trembling with every step, some buildings collapsed, we could hear explosions in the distance, barely audible among the screaming of people trying to run away from the beast.
What is that thing even made of? No organical lifeform that large, and that heavy, can exist... It should collapse on his weight... The heat. Hot wind was coming from the creature. That thing was not made of flesh, of that i'm sure.
As I was reasoning, I saw the creature looking down on us. It had eyes. and something similiar to a mouth too. I saw it lifting his foot up, I could see vapor from the sea emitting from it... And then, down, with strenght and cruelty... A huge boom deafened me... Smoke, and debris... Buildings in the distance were crumbling like they were made of dust... A huge debris cloud formed, lit up by the yellow light emitted from the creature. I swear, I heard some sort of brief laugh. Aren't you satisfied yet? How many of us are you gonna kill before you return to the dark space that spawned you?
Then, the creature lifted his other foot. That's the last thing that I remember...
When I woke up, my hometown was no more. Perfectly flattened and scorched... Burnt bodies everywhere.
