What I made for St. Patrick's Day, both of which are incredibly easy to make.
--GREEN BEER--
I'm surprised that I still get questioned to this day on how to make green beer, so I'll go ahead and share my secret!
What You'll Need:
-green food coloring
-1 light/pale beer such as Blue Moon, Shock Top, or Rolling Rock
-1 preferred beer glass
Step 1:
Add 2 drops of food coloring to the bottom of the glass.
Step 2:
Tilt the glass and pour the beer in to fill, no stirring required. There ya go.
--POTATO BOATS--
What You'll Need:
-6 russet potatoes (or more depending on how many you want)
-butter or margarine
-chopped green onions
-1/2 a block of grated extra sharp cheddar
-minced garlic
-black pepper
-ranch dressing
-aluminum foil
Step 1:
Start by washing the potatoes real good and then cut them in half. Put the halves back together and wrap them in the foil to hold them together to bake easier. Repeat the process with all 6. Place foiled potatoes in the oven at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
Step 2:
While the potatoes are baking, grate the cheese, mince the garlic, and chop the onions. Set aside until potatoes are ready.
Step 3:
When potatoes are done, take them out of the oven and as carefully as you can without burning yourself, take them out of the foil and place each half right side up on a plate.
Step 4:
Don't give them time to cool, immediately top with the other ingredients. For best results do it in this order, first spread a thin layer of butter, then a small spoonful of minced garlic spread evenly, top with a hefty layer of cheese, and finally sprinkle some green onions. With how hot the potatoes are, they should perfectly melt everything together. Now give time to cool, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 5:
Top everything with black pepper. Serve with ranch dressing to dip and enjoy.
