R5-K8 (also known as Kate) is a R5 unit variant assigned to the Mon Calamari MC-80a starcruiser Starkiller's Pride. R5-K8 is the back-up astromech for Marcus and Ivanova Starkiller's modified Tandem X-Wing. As a back-up droid, Kate spends most of her time in the main hangar doing minor repair jobs.
