Here's most of the herd checking out the roadway... they eventually were spooked by a neighbor's powersaw turning on in the workshop there, and trotted off further down the road to cross at a safer spot.
They're extremely cautious around here, and for good reason! We have some horrid drivers around here. >.< If any deer are hit, it's likely the humans' fault since they speed and drink and swerve around corners in the dark of night with their brights on waaaaay too bright.
These deers, however, know how to stay (relatively) safe. :)
