Thanks. The armband design is based on Egyptian spiral armbands and the winged serpents/dragons (Coutal) from RPG's which took their inspiration from the Mesoamerican deity of wind and learning, Quetzalcoatl, whose name means 'feathered serpent'. The design is intended to be somewhat culturally ambiguous, with artistic aspects of Egyptian spiral serpent armbands, Asian dragons, and the Mesoamerican feathered serpent.
