Okay, so a little while back I managed to get my hands on some old AHM O scale, 2 rail stuff. A V&T 4-4-0, a Bobber caboose, and a Casey Jones 4-6-0! And as most of you know I cannot resist my urge to hack, slash, and bash the heck out of all my models to really personalize it and make it one of a kind!
Although I'm a LONG way off from building a dream layout that doesn't mean I can't prepare for it, right? And so my one of my On30 roads interchanges with a standard gauge line to establish a connection to the outside world. Both the 4-4-0 and 4-6-0 will be lettered for this road (which I have yet to come up with a name for...) but it is intended to emulate the look and feel of the Santa Fe Prescott & Phoenix Railroad. And they had some NICE looking Ten-Wheelers!!
The goal for this engine is NOT to make a bolt for bolt copy of one of the SFP&P's locomotives, but one that has the essence of one. And a mild family appearance.
Already a lot has been done to the model. Most notably is the removal of the original Strait style smoke stack, a shortened smoke box. new brass marker lamps, new headlight (not in photo) a new pilot, and I removed the stock tender flare. There's still a lot left to do, but it's coming along.

"Yav-Ah-Pie" is how you pronounce it. I chose that name as it's the name of the National Forest the Santa Fe Prescott & Phoenix railroad ran through and is the inspiration behind this build.
She's a bit of a rough runner though and I have yet to really sit down and give it a good examination. Right now I'm just altering the aesthetics. X3
