During that time, I suggested that it was possible to make a person invisible by bending all the light around him. The trouble with that is, with all the light being diverted around the invisible person, there is no light left for the invisible person to see by. Ergo, the invisible person is also rendered blind.
It turns out that the Fenris is a little bit smarter than Roland, as he and Chrioni might've navigated by hearing and smell.

Ah, thanks for the explanation, since it's been a long time since that part of the storyline. also would explain why they weren't able to avoid the tall building in their path.
As for Fenris, since dogs are descendented from wolves, it would be logical for her to find them using her sense of smell.
