what the small dog lacks in size it makes up for in muscle tone and strength

the bigger dog will have the tribute asset of a stronger jaw and larger body mass but they lack in total body strength because its being used to push their massive frame around
while smaller dogs have the advantage because they weigh less and are able to develop their muscles for more useful reasons

So the fact that Dodge is a fighting dog for 1/4 and Ford is a fighting dog for 3/4 doesn't count.

Ford might have the dominant genes of a stronger dog in his bloodline
