Personality: Confused and frightened by her body. Though a good girl at heart, her instincts drive her to do bad things.

Back-Story: Lauren was born to a middle class mother; her father ran off months before she was born. She always wanted to make life easier for her mother, so she always listened and helped out where she could. Lauren was an above average student, believing that excelling in the classroom would make her mother happier. She joined the cheerleading squad at her high school. She had looks, brains, and personality; Lauren was among the most popular girls in her school. Through a series of fortunate circumstances, Lauren had previously passed in and out of critical periods without coming across animals and, therefore, was unaware that she had EFD. One night, about a month before Lauren was to attend college at Sael University, Lauren went camping with some friends. They heard some sounds coming from the dark trees. All of a sudden vampire bats began flying overhead. One landed on Lauren, who had just slipped into another critical period. Lauren fainted. She awoke to find herself almost completely covered in fur; she also had large, leathery wings protruding from the sides of her arms. She began feeling strange urges; she desired blood. Light began to hurt her eyes; she began going out only at night. She had changed.
Present Day Situation: Not wanting to ruin her mother’s expectations, Lauren still went off to Sael for the new semester, despite her very recent change into a vampire bat. She is still battling with her strange instincts, managing to quell the desire to prey upon the living for the most part. She only goes outside for classes and at night, at which time she hangs out with her, also nocturnal, roommate, Rachel Nite (SAI: Raccoon). She hopes that in joining Phi Upsilon Rho, an all-Furry sorority, that she’ll be able to make some friends and learn how to control this strange new body…
(This is not an easy one for me to draw, so she may not be appearing much in the comic. Makes sense, i guess, since she's awake when everyone else should be asleep)
