Back-story: Ako comes from an upper-middle class family. Her father is a well known psychiatrist and her mother is a concert pianist. She changed at the age of ten when a tiger escaped from the zoo and happened to brush past her during her first critical period. Her parents never doubted that the new tiger-girl was still their little girl. Her father then continued to prove that a furry was the same as humans in cognitive capacity. Using his daughter as his primary subject, he also observed and documented the development of new instinctual habits that are unique to each Furry’s individual Species Appearance Index. Because her parents were so ready to embrace her new form, Ako never felt ashamed of her appearance.
Present-Day Situation: She is currently following in her father’s academic footsteps by studying Psychology at Sael University. Now away from her loving home setting, Ako starts to feel the effects of the worldwide prejudice against people who have turned into a Furry due to their common genetic disorder. Despite this, her fun-loving and outgoing personality has awarded her with several friends, both normal and Furry. She finds herself constantly comforting and advising her shy and uncomfortable roommate, Annabelle Grandston (SAI: Skunk).
Through a chance encounter with Sarah Pommi (SAI: Bovine), Ako learns about the all-Furry sorority, Phi Upsilon Rho (a.k.a. FUR). She persuades her roommate to transfer to the sorority house with her. She becomes fast friends with almost every girl in the house, except for one. She tries to avoid Alala Sune (SAI: Wolf) as much as she can, as her feline instincts fears Nike’s canine form.
Ako becomes quite well equipped to survive in a world that doesn’t accept people like her. Putting her education to use, Ako sets out to try to spread universal acceptance and change the world…
