Those small “freckles” are air bubbles.

They’re not a very good fighter, but a very willing one. Very gluttonous. In my headcanon, ambers were a test gem of sorts since they weren’t sure how those gems would turn out, considering it had never done before until Earth. Boom. They’re fucking useless pieces of shit that loaf around and are hardly even useful for combat. So they just sent the few they made on their merry way like “screw it, we don’t need you so fuck off or whatever”.
