Hey look, even more Araen. Gimme a vote. I'm trying to decide.
I mean I'm always a sucker for body hair aesthetically, but considering basically EVERY other character I have has some, I'm not sure.
On top of that, I'm pretty sure, if he had the choice, he'd prefer NOT to have body hair????
So yeah. Y/N, comment belows.

I'm not really sure what I'm going for specifically, but I've had him for a long while now (around five years or so?) and I'm just updating his design to get him ready for more in-depth development. His personality is pretty much set in stone, but anything physical about him is up in the air at the moment. XD
And yeah, not everyone likes body hair, and I can see why, haha. I'm just 50/50 as to whether to put it on him or not.

Pretty much agreeing with the above, in general, dragon = no body hair.
Not for any dislike of it, though!
It just gets to me a bit when artists treat their characters as if they're humans with different color skins, rather than creatures with fur or scales. So the cross-hatching body hair doesn't quite work for me, because that suggests sparseness. Rather, if it's going to be there, go with a pronounced ..what's the term I'm trying to find here?
Ruff?
Scruff?
Chest beard? :P
I guess what I'm thinking is that it should be thick and cohesive, like something you really want to run your fingers through. :3
Unless he's a young dragon and it's just growing in, which becomes an interesting character detail and a statement of his advancing maturity. Or I'm overthinking it. :P

I'm also a sucker for body hair, aesthetically, fur or scales be darned! XD
In this particular case, I think he'd look good with or without-- I honestly can't make a solid decision here. Buuuut, if Araen himself would prefer to be hairless, I say let him be hairless!
Otherwise, I'd go by personality and behavior. Minor example, but I recently added body hair to one of my characters to emphasize his "manly" and physical nature in contrast to another's softer and passive nature. Not saying that body hair's a particularly strong indicator of that, though. XD
