Well, at least there was no soft racial epiteths (Sp? Damned word). My family, the first thing my parents would ask is 'Is she caucasian?" XP "What's her last name? What's her family like?"

*grumbles about family for a bit* Believe me, I can commiserate.

It sucks. Family, you can't pick them...

But you CAN choose whether or not you wanna be around them. For instance, based on what happened this Xmas when we visited my dad's family for two hours (we'd been at my mom's family for the evening, and were just stopping in). Everything I said had three people telling me how wrong I was and the 52 ways I was stupid for even opening my mouth about whatever.

Next year, if the Xmas is at their place... I'm staying home with KFC. I don't care; I don't need to be fed to the wolves like that again.
