The first yinglet I have drawn. Art ©

Timba the prairie yinglet. When a trapper came to the prairies of the United Southern Tribes, he ran across the young & spry yinglet who would have blended in well with the timber of his native homeland, & nicknamed the yinglet "Timber". Having a child like slur, the adolescent yinglet was only able to say it as "Timba", which he happily took up as his own name. Timba took well to the trappers companionship & offered him various catches of his own as a sign of friendship. The trapper, seeing the potential, took Timba in as an apprentice. Timba thrived under the trappers tutelage, and on occasion taught him a few tricks of his own. After a year and a half, the apprenticeship was over, and the trapper left Timba to his own kind.
Timba became a valuable asset to his enclave, making sure the food stores were sufficient. Timba caught a big break when one day a small group of humans on an expedition stopped by the enclave. The team was lead by a botanist who had a special hobby of collecting Ivenmoths. He had seen Timba bring in a fresh catch & was quite excited to add new samples to his collection. Timba was able to strike up a bargain and got a collection of jars, a butterfly net, and a few extra tools the expedition had to spare. In exchange the expedition loaded up on a multitude of exotic new samples to take back to the city when they left. Timba found that catching various odd insects and jaring them brought far more value to the enclave than just hunting the tastiest of insects for dinner. During the warm and wet seasons, on irregular intervals new groups would come to the prarie yinglet enclave for a chance to obtain the local fauna, and thus eco tourism became the primary source of income to the enclave, thanks to a trapper who took the time to teach a young yinglet the ways of the trade.

Edit: Due to additional information released by OOPs #21 http://valsalia.deviantart.com/art/.....s-21-566420295 , I have realized that Timba qualifies to become a Patriarch, and has been given the title of "Patriarch of Hunting and Tourism".
