I like the shadowing and lighting that can be done. It adds a good level of dimension to the work.

I think BlackInk beats FireAlpaca in brush customization but FireAlpaca has more layers and a lot of tools that push it past BlackInk. Also in Gimp, if you move a layer after sizing it you might notice the picture was cut to fit into the canvas but FireAlpaca keeps the whole picture. FireAlpaca also has a smudge and blur tool, something BlackInk never had. So far FireAlpaca is slowly winning my favor out of all the programs.

The only thing i'm trying to understand is how to make smooth lines with it. That last picture i did with Blair made the lines too sharp and removed some of the softness from the image and design.

The more you learn about it the easier it will be. I hope this means that we can see more fantastic pictures from you, though. That would be absolutely wonderful.
