Now this, THIS is the OG image of Tyrii. Back before I had a clear direction for anything that I wanted with my science fiction universe, I stumbled across an artist that was really good at illustrating dragons and their anthropomorphic counterparts. That artist was
Adalfyre and this was the first image that I commissioned her for. I had scrambled ideas, and barely any usable references, and she came up with this magnificent work. I still appreciate every detail of it, even if I (to my embarrassment) have slightly altered Ty's design since then. It was a start, and it still stands as one of my favorites even now.

Is basically all of the subtle changes over the 5 months combined.
The biggest change was her ears, which are bigger and more animal-like (I enjoy, for some reason, the use of ears as emotional indicators). Her skin (and other sya'rids as well) was changed to be leathery instead of scaly, with the plates just being a bit tougher. The belly/nose/neck plates are longer, so there's fewer of them. Also made them more purple so they stand out. Blue mucus membranes (including nip nops) as well. Her main grey body is a bit darker now, too.
Still recognizable as the same character, of course!
I was worried about how you'd think. You've talked about something like this before, I believe, where you feel your work becomes obsolete, and I really wanted to avoid that because this so good. I hope it's not too much trouble ;-;
